Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced bar environment. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness of the bar area, restocking supplies, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance the guest experience. This is a tipped position as well.
Duties
- Assist bartenders by preparing and restocking ingredients, garnishes, and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Handle cash register operations and assist with cash handling as needed.
- Buss tables and ensure that all areas are tidy and organized for guests.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons and addressing their needs promptly.
- Support during busy shifts by ensuring that bartenders have everything they need to serve customers efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages to management.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash handling processes and cash registers is advantageous.
- Experience in kitchen operations or catering environments is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- A passion for working in nightlife environments such as bars or nightclubs is highly desirable.
