Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the Aloha POS system or OpenTable.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and culinary recommendations.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Assist with food preparation and ensure all items are prepared according to safety and quality standards.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction with their dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth operations during peak hours.
Skills
- Strong guest relations skills with an emphasis on providing excellent customer service.
- Proficiency in using restaurant management software such as Aloha POS or OpenTable is preferred.
- Basic math skills for handling cash register transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food service practices and culinary terminology is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
