Position Overview:
You will be responsible for leading and managing flooring installation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects and resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process. Your expertise in flooring systems and project management will be key to the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of commercial flooring installation projects, from pre-construction to project close-out.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of flooring projects, ensuring that deadlines are met, budgets are adhered to, and quality standards are maintained.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their expectations are met and maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Conduct site assessments and collaborate with the estimating team to develop accurate cost estimates and material take-offs.
- Review contract documents, including project specifications, drawings, and change orders, to ensure alignment with project scope.
- Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and resources needed for each project.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards, and building codes.
- Monitor project progress, provide regular updates to clients, and ensure any issues or delays are addressed promptly.
- Resolve any on-site issues related to project execution, including material shortages, subcontractor performance, and client concerns.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial control throughout the project.
- Ensure that all project documentation, including change orders, submittals, and RFIs (Requests for Information), is accurate and up-to-date.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and gather client feedback to continuously improve the quality of service.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Commercial Flooring Project Manager in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of flooring systems, including carpet, vinyl, hardwood, tile, stone, and other commercial flooring materials.
- Proven track record of successfully managing commercial flooring projects, including managing schedules, budgets, and client relationships.
- Strong understanding of construction project management practices, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and construction documents.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lead teams, including subcontractors and internal teams, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Strong focus on client satisfaction, quality control, and ensuring the highest standard of work is delivered.
