Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Commercial Roofing General Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our commercial roofing operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the roofing industry, including leadership roles, project management, and the ability to drive operational excellence. This role requires a strong background in commercial roofing projects, with the ability to lead teams, manage budgets, ensure high-quality standards, and foster strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the commercial roofing division, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
- Manage and lead roofing crews, ensuring proper training, safety, and productivity on all projects.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
- Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure all commercial roofing projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent communication and customer satisfaction throughout each project.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, implementing best practices for roofing installation and maintenance.
- Monitor project progress, assess risks, and make necessary adjustments to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, financial tracking, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors for roofing projects.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest roofing technologies, trends, and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the roofing industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience in managing commercial roofing projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and team management.
- In-depth knowledge of roofing materials, systems, and installation techniques.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards in the roofing industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Roofing certifications (e.g., NRCA, RRO) and industry-specific training are a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
