Position Overview:
You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and managing client relationships within the commercial roofing sector. This role will focus on generating leads, building client relationships, and closing roofing sales for new construction and roofing repair projects. You will work closely with the project management and estimating teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and generate new leads for commercial roofing projects through networking, referrals, and outreach efforts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, property managers, building owners, and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct site assessments and roofing evaluations to determine client needs and provide appropriate roofing solutions.
- Present and sell commercial roofing systems, maintenance plans, and repair services to potential clients.
- Prepare and submit detailed roofing proposals, including scope of work, pricing, and project timelines.
- Negotiate contract terms and close sales, ensuring profitable margins while meeting client expectations.
- Collaborate with the project management and estimating teams to ensure that all sales are followed through accurately and efficiently.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to stay updated on industry trends and expand your network.
- Maintain a strong understanding of roofing materials, technologies, and best practices to provide clients with up-to-date information.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and ensure client satisfaction post-sale.
- Track sales activity, manage client relationships, and meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in commercial roofing sales, construction sales, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and techniques used in commercial roofing projects.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ability to conduct site assessments and provide tailored roofing solutions for clients.
- Solid understanding of commercial construction processes, including the ability to read blueprints and specifications.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and commercial construction codes is a plus.
