Nino Development has partnered with a highly reputable national prime Ship Repair Large Contractor on their search for a highly skilled Divisional Director located in the Chula Vista Naval Waterfront. The role will be a key player in a rapidly growing company.
Job Title: Divisional Director (Naval and Commercial Ship Repair)

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of waterfront and develop/implement plans for division’s strategic business goals, execute effectively, and track/report progress to senior management
- Manage and guide the administrative, contract, and program staff through development of proposals and execution of contracts, ensuring all compliance requirements are met (to include contractual, federal, state, and local regulations)
- Provide onsite leadership and direction to support teams (to include Safety, Environmental, and Quality) and strengthen partnerships with other corporate service and support functions (such as Finance, Human Resources, etc.)
- Ensure appropriate manning levels to execute work requirements
- Recruit, retain, develop high-performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share
- Examine current project and sales strategies while exploring targeted markets and customers to build a sustainable growth plan focused on full service marine repair industry (both commercial and government)
- Build and leverage partnerships with sales and support teammates across the enterprise to identify common opportunities and explore joint efforts
- Support contract lifecycle (to include oversight of cost proposal prep, development of contractual terms and conditions, negotiation, dispute/REA/claims management, and administration of contracts) in accordance with company procedures, applicable laws, and customer requirements with effective collaboration with internal stakeholders (Project Team, Production, Estimation, Business Operations, etc.)
- Lead marketing and branding efforts for the division, regularly represent division/company at industry trade shows and symposiums, and continuously monitor performance of marketing activities
- Must have experience in government contracts, specific to sales and business development
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in senior leadership roles within naval and commercial ship repair sectors.
- Strong management and strategic planning skills.
- Expertise in operations management and process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability in business development and project management.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on marketing and sales strategies.
- Effective leadership capabilities to drive team performance and operational excellence.
