Project Manager/Estimator (Commercial Construction)

Nino Development has partnered with a highly successful General Contractor in the Central Iowa (Des Moines) area on their search for a Project Manager/Estimator to manage theor Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Government Construction Projects.

Title: Project Manager/Estimator (Dual Role)

Project Types: Education, Healthcare, Government, Office Buildings, Multifamily

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee & Direct the project schedules and budgets for successful completion of each project.
• Set up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery.
• Oversee and Develop and maintain a good relationship with Owner, Architect, and General Contractors
• Provide the client with value-engineered solutions when applicable.
• Work with Superintendents to develop safety plans and to implement safety procedures
• Manage project deliverables
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare bid proposals.
• Collaborate with the project team to develop a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and scope.
• Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and ensure all project costs are accurately represented.
• Perform take-offs from project drawings and blueprints to determine materials and quantities required.
• Maintain and update cost databases, pricing models, and estimating tools to ensure competitive and accurate bids.
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and support the negotiation process with clients and contractors.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial construction project management and estimating experience
• Strong relationships with regional and national general contractors
• BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred NOT required.
• Strong communication skills with clients, contractors, and design consultants.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
