Nino Development has partnered with a highly successful General Contractor in Miami, Florida, seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager (Multifamily/Commercial Construction) to join their team in the great Fort Lauderdale/Miami, FL area.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards across all phases of construction, specifically within multifamily, senior living and commercial projects valued at $100M
You will oversee all quality assurance and quality control procedures, providing leadership in maintaining safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
*This position REQUIRES you to travel and be on-site, visiting project sites weekly. *Projects range within a 150 mile radius of Greater Fort Lauderdale/Miami, FL
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the QA/QC process for multifamily construction projects, ensuring adherence to contract documents, specifications, and local building codes.
- Develop and implement quality control plans and processes, including inspections, tests, and quality audits.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the construction process.
- Perform regular inspections and identify potential quality control issues before they escalate.
- Review and ensure that all project deliverables are completed according to specified standards and quality expectations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare and maintain detailed quality reports and documentation for each phase of the project.
- Provide training and guidance to the construction team on quality control procedures and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in a QA/QC Manager position with projects at/greater than $100M
- Proven experience as a QA/QC Manager or similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on multifamily, commercial and senior living projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction codes, standards, and quality control processes.
- Experience with inspection, testing, and compliance reporting in construction.
- In-depth understanding of multifamily residential construction processes and requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with various project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Certification in Quality Control (e.g., ASQ, ISO 9001) is a plus.
- OSHA certification or similar safety training is preferred.
- CMIC and/or Procore software is a plus
