Security Systems Technician (commercial)

We are currently seeking an experienced Security Systems Technician (Commercial) to join our team in Hartford, CT.

Job Description:
You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems in commercial buildings. This includes working with commercial-grade equipment such as CCTV, access control, alarms, and intercom systems. You will ensure that all security systems are running efficiently and provide clients with the protection they need for their businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, and intercom systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with commercial security systems to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on commercial security systems to ensure ongoing functionality and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure security systems are installed and serviced on time and meet client specifications.
• Provide clients with recommendations for system upgrades, enhancements, and troubleshooting solutions based on their unique security needs.
• Conduct system training for commercial clients on the proper use of security equipment and address any client concerns or inquiries.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in commercial security systems.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with local regulations and company standards for commercial installations.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Security Systems Technician with a focus on commercial systems (CCTV, alarms, access control, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of commercial security systems, including troubleshooting and system integration.
• Ability to work with networked security systems and integrate security solutions into commercial infrastructures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Certifications in security systems (e.g., NICET, PSA) are a plus.
• Ability to work with commercial building management teams and third-party vendors.
