Job Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Associate job is an integral piece of all our operations at Ninth Planet. We have limited storage space within our facility which leads to a very busy loading dock with incoming and outgoing shipments happening multiple times a shift/day. A successful candidate will have experience with warehousing, forklifts, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to details, and have a strong sense of urgency while maintaining organization at all times.
Position: Full-Time
Work location: Saratoga Springs
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 9am to 8pm (with a 1 hour lunch) (occasional nights and weekends)
Wage: $17.50 or higher depending on experience

Core Responsibilities include:
- Promptly unloads trucks and sorts and stocks receivables. Logs all ingredients and the locations of items in storage
- Handles the incoming and outgoing shipments and records all packaging products, ingredients, materials, and supplies.
- Verifies BOL and/or packing slips to confirm the shipment matches the orders needed, and all applicable certifications are listed.
- Scan all (COA’s) Certificate of Analysis into the Drive.
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Notifies appropriate parties of any damaged or expired ingredients.
- Maintains a clean, orderly, and functional loading dock area
- Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily productions, ingredients inventory, and counting accurately all outgoing and incoming items
- Provides additional backup support for Line Operations when needed
- Has and maintains a Forklift Certification Safe operation of powered industrial forklift for moving raw materials
- Safely operate all equipment as part of a team effort of “Safety First”
- Ensure all products are manufactured and shipped safely by following Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Quality Food standard
Qualification
- 2 years of experience with Shipping and Receiving
- 2 years of forklift experience
- Experience working in a brewery/winery/distillery or food and beverage production environment is strongly preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly on a daily basis, and stand for duration of shift
- Tech Savvy– Able to use Google Suites and in-house app for communication and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Be a continuous learner and problem solver.
- Reliable and timely
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to embrace changes with production
