Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for Structural Steel Special Inspector in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. The successful candidate will be an experienced inspector that is thoroughly knowledgeable regarding the standards related to the construction and inspection of structural steel welding. A candidate with experience and knowledge regarding structural steel bolting along with welding inspection capabilities is preferred. The candidate must be able to read and understand structural plans and current code requirements. Field duties will include shop and field inspection of structural steel welds, and potentially field bolting. Duties include daily completion of field reports, as well as clear communications with the client's representatives, general and subcontractors, and Ninyo & Moore's Project Manager are required.
Certifications: Current ICC Special Inspector Structural Steel and Welding certification REQUIRED
Required Skills: The successful candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, 1 years of experience working in the construction quality industry, positive attitude, good organizational skills and a strong work ethic. Must have current valid driver's license and a good driving record. A command of Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, and Word is needed.
