Salary Pay Range MinUSD $85,000/AnnuallyMaxUSD $90,000/Annually
This salary range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Responsibilities
The purpose of the Air Import Assistant Manager position is to work within an import unit to provide stability and lead the subordinate staff.
- Supervise the department staff in accordance with the policy and guidelines provided by the department manager. Give direct instructions to subordinates as needed. Provide direct support to supervisors and/or team leaders as needed. Be aware of the needs of the staff to meet the goals and objectives provided by the manager.
- Daily operation including the direct contact with customers / brokers / subcontractors / other departments, etc. Investigate and resolve any issues if possible, and report to the manager.
- Collect and analyze department data to support the goals and objectives of the department manager.
- Communicate with overseas branches and sales staff to support retention of existing business as well as acquiring new business.
- Reviewing SOP (Operational and Billing) and achieving high customer satisfaction.
- Cost Analysis and negotiation with subcontractors to increase revenue.
- AR/AP review with staff and manager.
- Sales calls for new/old customers to increase business opportunity.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience.
- Approximately 5 years department or industry experience
- Analytical skill (Familiar with logistics concepts and planning concepts)
- Knowledge of international commerce (sales and payment term, method, customs regulations etc.)
- Knowledge of Consolidator system
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT), State, Federal and Interstate Commerce commission (ICC) regulation.
