Key Responsibilities

The Laboratory Technician will perform various tasks in a customer-focused lab environment. These include paint and panel preparation, customer correlation work, record keeping, and other customer/product support activities.

Requirements

  • Technical Requirements: The ideal candidate should have a general understanding of formula raw materials and coatings chemistry.
  • Application Knowledge: The selected candidate will use hand-spray application equipment to generate consistent test/evaluation panels.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as the candidate will need to communicate technical information/project results to chemists, group managers, and the Technical Director.
  • Customer Interaction: Travel may be required to support customer needs. The candidate should demonstrate a basic understanding of internal procedures to address customer requests.
  • Business Processes: The successful candidate will use existing business processes to transition paint from Lab to Plant to Customer.
