The Nirvana Center of Marquette is hiring a few high-integrity individuals to join our team as Full-time Support Staff Members! A Support Staff member uses their comprehensive cannabis knowledge to guide customers to the appropriate medical or recreational products. They provide excellent customer service while complying with all MD regulations and company policies, prompt service and quality products while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. They continually improve their knowledge of products carried in our store, and any new developments relating to cannabis.
- Greeting customers* Placing customers in the appropriate queue* Operating the call center* Answering customer questions about cannabis strains, medicinal uses, and consumption methods* Maintaining the flow of the sales floor* Keeping the manager or supervisors informed of any complaints or issues* Helping customers navigate cannabis consumption while abiding by all policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
- Performing delegated duties during your shift, including side tasks like cleaning and organizing.* Following all company and state transaction standards and procedures (such as MVP and Scan, tag and bag, laying out cash and marking bills, etc.).* Adhering to breaks or lunches set by upper management.* Being trained on all basic FOH duties, including reception/floater, call center and budtender duties.* Understanding and abiding by Nirvana Center Dispensary policies and procedures described in the handbook.* Understanding and following MI regulations to always remain compliant.* Communicating with coworkers supportively and understanding the importance of teamwork.* Providing excellent customer service, actively listening to each customer to direct them to the most suitable product(s).* Functioning with urgency and attention to detail.* Maintaining a clean and organized work area and sales floor.* Performing any duty assigned by supervisors or managers.* Being familiar with the Dutchies POS system and verifying applicable discounts.* Scanning identification cards to ensure validity, knowing all acceptable forms of government-issued ID with photo, date of birth, signature/biometric data, and valid dates.* Being well-versed in proper cash handling practices.* Ensuring all opening/closing tasks are performed thoroughly and timely.* Understanding and correctly following the proper chain of command.* Staying in control of the transaction and taking responsibility for any mistakes.* Remaining teachable and open to constructive criticism.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software* Organized with attention to detail* Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines; ability to multitask* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff* Excellent customer service abilities* Ability to develop and maintain budgets* Thorough understanding of company policies and practices* High School Diploma or GED required* At least one year of retail experience is highly preferred
