Minimum Qualifications
- Must be available to work Monday - Friday between hours of 2:30pm-6:30pm (Elementary) OR 3:30pm-6:30pm (Middle School)
- High School Diploma or Accredited GED
- Must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check prior to starting employment
Essential Functions
- Deliver daily curriculum/lesson plans, to include academic enrichment, recreation, nutrition, art, dance, technology, sports, college/workforce, and community partner components.
- Actively supervise youth by standing and walking frequently and ensuring that safety measures are enforced.
- Manage student behavior, provide excellent classroom management and maintain student confidentiality.
- Ensure that the Learning Tree is a safe and healthy environment for youth to learn and play
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Maintain emotional control under stress. Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job. Lifts 5-10 lbs. frequently, 10-50 lbs. occasionally and more than 50 lbs. infrequently. Moderate running, walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, and twisting. Subject to visual acuity, speech/hearing, hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity to perform the essential functions. Work indoors and outdoors in varying climate conditions. May be required under special circumstances to provide physical restrain of students in danger of causing harm to themselves and others.
