SUMMARY
Perform accounting duties as related to customer billings, reconciliation of customer payments and processing vendor invoices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing accounts receivable and payable with accuracy and efficiency
Processing, verifying, and posting invoices for goods sold or services rendered
Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses
Reviewing accounts, client payments, pricing discrepancies, and any past due invoice issues
Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending payment reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts
Collaborating across departments to keep operations running smoothly
Engaging in ongoing educational opportunities to update job knowledge
Maintain a positive attitude, be a team player and exhibit high integrity at all times
Composes and types routine correspondence
Files correspondence and other records
Prepares various analytical reports
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job, you must be a skilled and thorough researcher with excellent communication and record-keeping skills. You should be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with strong excel skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred but not required
3-5 years related experience in AR/AP or general accounting. An automotive background with EDI and ASN experience is preferred.
Attention to detail is essential.
Strong analytical excel and computer related skills.
Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills. Must be willing to take initiative and not be afraid to ask questions.
High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.
