**The Ideal Candidate:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Supported Community Living Specialist (SCLS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting individuals with varying levels of need and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Teach daily living skills to residents
- Assist with activities of daily living such as meal preparation and housekeeping
- Coordinate health and medical needs
- Supervise and document resident progress
- Maintain confidentiality and follow agency policies and procedures
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
- A valid Iowa Chauffeur's license and acceptable driving record
