Service Technician
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Performs meter and regulator related activities, and have knowledge of customer appliance servicing.
Responsible for company equipment and property at the job site.
Must have knowledge of Company operating procedures and related paperwork, safety procedures, and be able to use this knowledge in job performance.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications for Position
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate company vehicles.
Must be detail-oriented and able to follow through on assignments with limited direction.
Requires the ability to organize and prioritize duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to document records and understand written and oral communications.
Must be able to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
Mechanical aptitude and knowledge and/or experience of hand tools is required.
Demonstrated ability to deal with difficult customer situations with tact and diplomacy is required.
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
Prefers computer software experience.
Plant/Service Specialist (Technician)
The Plant/Service Specialist (Technician) will work with the operation, installation, repair and maintenance of gas distribution facilities such as main lines and services.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as crew leader over what will normally be a Plant crew engaged in leak repair, service line installation and all phases of Plant work. The Plant/Service Technician will drive an assigned truck, maintain truck inventory and handle necessary paperwork. The Plant/Service Technician will be responsible for the work while at the job.
The Plant/Service Technician will also be responsible for all types of customer service work and other related work necessary to render gas service.
The Plant/Service Technician must be available for overtime, emergency, and call-out work for both Plant and Service.
Must have a CDL within 18 months from the date of hire.

Required Qualifications for Position:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Mechanical aptitude and be able to use various tools in the installation and repair of gas distribution facilities.
Perform basic math calculations, prepare legible records and understand written and oral communications.
Must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proven track record of comprehending and implementing company policies and procedures.
Requirement to maintain applicable OQ qualifications.
Must be dependable in terms of adherence to deadlines and presence on the job.
Requires skills in reading/interpreting gauges and dials.
Must be able to be certified to wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
On call, able to work overtime and respond to emergency call-outs.
Must be able to read and interpret highway prints and company inventory maps.
Must be able to document records, understand oral and written communications and prepare legible orders.
Must be self-motivated and able to complete assignments with little or no direct supervision.
Requires ability to organize and prioritize duties.
Must have strong oral and interpersonal skills, as demonstrated by successful interactions with others where tact and diplomacy are needed.
Must have a safe work & driving record to operate company vehicles.
Must have demonstrated computer experience.
Appropriate class of driver's license is required. Required to obtain a Commercial Driver's License.
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
Twelve months of gas distribution, construction, plumbing or equivalent work experience preferred, but not required.
Computer software experience preferred.
Experience in the plumbing trade or in field operations in the natural gas industry is preferred
Locator Technician
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Locate underground utilities in response to PA One Call.
Must be able to read maps and interpret information.
Responsible for submitting map revisions.
Must be able to become OQ qualified in all duties relevant to the area of Line Locating.

General Gas Distribution Technician
The General Gas Distribution Technician is an entry level position and will work as part of the Plant department. The successful candidate will attend and successfully complete formal and informal (OJT) training to establish basic knowledge of the fundamentals of gas operations and be able to perform the following responsibilities:
Assist with the installation and maintenance of natural gas service lines and mains.
Assist O&M crews with repairing leaks and completing service line orders.
Repair a curb box as needed.
Operate company assigned vehicles and equipment.
The General Distribution Technician will also perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to further their knowledge of plant operations and the gas industry.
Residency:
The General Gas Distribution Technician will be required to reside and maintain residency in accordance with the Plant residency requirements I the reporting location they are assigned.
Utility Representative:
The Utility Representative responds to various types of customer/company work requests primarily involving collections on delinquent customer accounts or disconnecting gas service at meter or curb box.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Personally, makes premise visit on delinquent customers to collect or disconnect gas service at meter or curb
Performs various customer/company work requests, including transfers, disconnects, reads/rereads meters, locates/repairs, curb boxes, removes active and inactive meters.
Document assignment results, maintains assigned vehicle and tools/equipment.
Promotes excellent customer relations.
Other duties as assigned.
