The Nisqually Indian Tribe is developing a Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) facility on Pacific Ave in Olympia, Washington to address the opioid crisis within the Thurston County area. The Nisqually Indian Tribe is passionate about developing a whole person recovery model, keeping all services under one roof so the patient has the best possible chance of recovery. Our goal is to bring healing and wellness to the community, focusing on the entire family by serving tribal and non-tribal patients.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Clinical Supervisor manages all clinical aspects of an out-patient-based substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program by directing, supervising, and monitoring the work of clinical staff in the provision of SUD and mental health treatment services for assigned clients. The Clinical Supervisor oversees individual therapy, treatment planning, case management, client advocacy, counseling, and crisis intervention.


This position ensures confidentiality, security, and accuracy of records, and promotes positive employee, customer, and community relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding customer service to fellow employees, customers, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, later hours or weekend time may be required, and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with the Administrator and Substance Use Disorder Professionals to determine continuum of care for program participants.
  • Directly, and through subordinate staff, coordinates assignments and directs the assessment of all newly arrived patients, supervises counseling staff in scheduling patients into treatment activities, and monitors and evaluates clinicians in the performance of their duties to ensure full compliance with Washington Administrative Codes and SAMHSA Federal Guidelines.
  • Provides supervision of Substance Use Disorder Professional trainees, interns, and volunteers.
  • Reviews and approves all clinical documentation (treatment progress, treatment plans, and client coordination of care plan) and conducts regular quality assurance and quality improvement reviews to ensure that all appropriate record-keeping is performed on a timely basis.
  • Provides ongoing client assessment to identify changing needs pertaining to the individual and family treatment and development strategy.
  • Conducts regular staff meetings for all clinical personnel to discuss matters pertaining to treatment issues, policies and procedures, case management, and staff relations.
  • Maintains established performance and conduct standards in accordance with organizational expectations. Prepares written performance evaluations annually for counseling staff in collaboration with the Administrator.
  • Advises the Administrator on specific training needs of clinical staff members and recommends an appropriate course of action.
  • Monitors the Substance Use Disorder Professional's and Licensed Mental Health Counselor's implementation of a problem-oriented records system by periodically spot-checking case files from each case manager/SUDP/LMHC.
  • Identifies areas of need with the Nisqually Generations Healing Center and provides sound recommendations to maximize efficiency.
  • Maintains full qualification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional.
  • Ensure security and confidentiality of all program data and operate in accordance with applicable regulations of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and 42 CFR Part 2.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work or a related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position; behavioral health program supervision experience managing behavioral health providers.
  • Active, unencumbered WA State license for practice (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW and Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP).
  • Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets the minimum requirements established by Nisqually Indian Tribes vehicle insurance provider.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • The ability to work with vulnerable populations including adults and children.
  • Must pass a State and National (FBI) criminal history background check prior to employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of the Nisqually Indian Tribe's history, customs, traditions, and ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
  • Experience working with Federally Recognized Tribes.

SUPERVISION

This position will train, supervise, and evaluate all clinical staff.

Salary : $107,570 - $144,141
