GRAND OPENING JULY 2025!

The Nisqually Indian Tribe is developing a Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) facility on Pacific Ave in Olympia, Washington to address the opioid crisis within the Thurston County area. The Nisqually Indian Tribe is passionate about developing a whole person recovery model, keeping all services under one roof so the patient has the best possible chance of recovery. Our goal is to bring healing and wellness to the community, focusing on the entire family by serving tribal and non-tribal patients.

Jobs are projected to start late May - early June 2025 .

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Transportation Manager maintains a safe and secure environment for clients, scheduling and supervising transportation staff, and transporting the Nisqually Generations Healing Center patients to and from all designated locations.

This position ensures confidentiality, security, and accuracy of records, and promotes positive employee, customer, and community relations. Strong written and verbal communication ski / ls are required and outstanding customer service to fellow employees, customers, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, later hours or weekend time may be required, and a neat we / f groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and oversees the transportation budget, ensuring cost effective use of resources while maintaining high service
  • Assists in the development and revision of transportation policies and procedures to align with best practices and regulatory
  • Evaluates and Implements schedule or policy changes for transportation
  • Plans and coordinates transportation services with other departments and agencies, Internal and external to the Nisqually Generations Healing
  • Ensures the transportation of all clients is conducted in a safe and lawful
  • Conducts physical examinations of vehicles and garages to ensure compliance with safety and security policies and regulations.
  • Ensures the completion of daily safety inspections on all transportation vehicles and coordinates scheduled vehicle maintenance as
  • Develops and implements emergency response plans for transportation services to ensure client safety during unforeseen events.
  • Conducts risk assessments related to transportation operations and implements strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Directs and manages all activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles,
  • Trains demonstrates work tasking to all assigned personnel; provides management and supervision to all Patient
  • Attend meetings, professional seminars, or conferences to keep abreast of changes in executive legislative directives or new technologies impacting transportation
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or This requirement may be waived for relevant experience in management
  • Current CPR qualified or complete First Aid and CPR certification within the first 60
  • Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets the minimum requirements established by Nisqually Indian Tribes vehicle insurance provider, with a good driving record with no history of drug, alcohol, or violence related
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background
  • The ability to work with vulnerable populations including adults and
  • Must pass a State and National (FBI) criminal history background check prior to employment.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of the Nisqually Indian Tribe's history, customs, traditions, and ability to demonstrate cultural
  • Experience working with Federally Recognized Tribes.
  • SUPERVISION

    This position trains, supervises, and evaluates all transportation staff.

    COMPETENCIES

  • Knowledge of relevant transportation equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective tribal, state, or national operations for the protection of people, data, property, and
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures to ensure the well-being of clients during
  • Tribal, Federal, and state laws, codes, and
  • Familiarity with the specific transportation needs of healthcare patients, including those with special
  • HIPAA and PHI Knowledge and adherence to state (RCW, WAC) and federal confidentiality regulations (42 CFR part 2)
  • Common office and administrative
  • Trauma and its impact on wellness and recovery.
  • Skilled in :

  • Strong skills in identifying and resolving transportation related issues quickly and
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to
  • Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the
  • Operating a personal computer and standard office programs and
  • Organizational management
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication for coordinating with staff, clients, and healthcare
  • Strong public speaking and presentation
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer
  • Motivational interviewing (Ml) skills or a desire to learn.
  • Ability to :

  • Ability to manage multiple transportation schedules and prioritize tasks
  • Attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety standards and client
  • An ability to interact compassionately with patients, understanding their emotional and physical needs during
  • Work In a computer-based environment, especially Microsoft
  • Work In a cross-cultural environment and understand the social and cultural contexts of patients,
  • Prioritize multiple tasks amidst frequent
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and external agencies.
  • Maintain personal, professional, and ethical boundaries.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS
