What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Automation Technician position at Nisshinbo Automotive Manufacturing Inc?
- The Maintenance Automation Technician primary function is to support manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering by repair, modification, troubleshooting, and/or testing, of production equipment through the application of electrical engineering principles and theory. The Maintenance Automation Technician serves as the key resource for their maintenance team in the process of troubleshooting and repairing electrical and automation issues.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot circuit breakers, relays, VFDs, motion controls, servos, linear actuators.
- Interpret wiring system diagrams to aid in troubleshooting.
- Set up and test new electrical equipment, ensuring it meets operational requirements.
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical control systems, including PLCs.
- Service and maintain electric motors, drives, and relays on AC or DC systems. Work independently to perform electrical diagnostics and provide maintenance and troubleshooting support.
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain issues on all aspects of production equipment such as mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Controls Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and automation.
- PLC programming, troubleshooting, and design – (Allen Bradley PLC5, SLC5, Omron CS, Siemens)
- Knowledge of Motion Control Technology (VFDs, Servo Drives, Encoders, Linear Electric Actuators)
- Work with robotics to troubleshoot or adjust parameters for setup (Fanuc)
- Hands-on modification and troubleshooting of production equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Thorough understanding of a multimeter and its functions and data logger. Thorough understanding of an amp meter and its functions and data logger.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
