Overview
The Customer Quality Specialist (CQS) manages the entire claims process, from start to finish. This role involves reviewing claims, investigating issues and coordinating with different departments to resolve them. This role is the main point of contact for customers, providing updates and information throughout the claims process.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire complaint process including but not limited managing the customer complaint log, corrective action log and managing the customer complaint system/portal.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records and documentation; ensure all documentation is accurate and complete for all ongoing and closed complaints.
- Collaborate with various departments to address quality issues and implement corrective actions using problem solving tools.
- Respond to customer complaints according the customer specific requirements and systems.
- Point of contact for customer complaints; negotiate with customers regarding sorting, material returns or replacements; continuous communication throughout the complaint process providing updates to the customer.
- Manages the corrective action meeting to ensure corrective action compliance.
- Track KPI related to all customer complaints
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or similar field
- 2 years experience in Automotive Quality Sector
- 1 year experience handling customer complaints
- Knowledge of engineering drawing interpretation (GD&T)
- Experience using problem solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Failure Tree, Fishbone Diagram, Quality Alerts or similar tools and Process Mapping tools.
- IATF Internal Audit Experience a plus
- ERP system (JD Edwards) a plus
- Statistical software a plus (Minitab, Power BI, etc)
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience organizing and prioritizing to handle critical situations
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite; Automotive manufacturer customer portals preferred
- Excellent customer support skills, demonstrating patience and professionalism in all interactions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, ensuring clear information exchange among team members.
