Job Title: Part-time Program Coordinator - VOX Program
Location: Nashville, Tennessee - position is primarily remote, with the expectation of working 1 day per week in person

Compensation: $20 per hour; approximately 20 hours per week
Start date: Approx. March 3, 2025
End date: This position is grant funded and will conclude December 2026

Position Summary:
The Venue Operations eXperience (VOX) Program is a comprehensive workforce development initiative that combines workplace education, mentorship, and paid internships to create pathways to employment in the music and live entertainment industry. This program is specifically designed to empower individuals from under-recognized groups, including BIPOC, women, genderqueer or genderfluid individuals, LGBTQ , and people with disabilities, providing them with the skills, experience, and professional support needed to thrive in this field.
The VOX Program Coordinator will be instrumental in coordinating and delivering this program. This is an exciting opportunity to support NIVF's growing programmatic efforts focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion in the live entertainment industry. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong communication skills, and has a passion for workforce development and social impact.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Relevant academic background or professional experience, including internships.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, interacting effectively with team and stakeholders.
- Self-starter with proactive problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with nonprofits and the music and live entertainment industry is a bonus but not required.
- Skilled in CANVA for graphic design
- Skilled in with social media platforms like Vista or Sprout
- Experience in grant management would be a plus but not required
Abilities:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under time constraints with strong attention to detail.
- Initiative in anticipating needs, solving problems, and adapting to changing circumstances.
- Comfortable working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and handling confidential matters with sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Coordination and Support:
- Plan, schedule, and organize all aspects of the TN VOX program.
- Coordinate between program participants, host venues, mentors, and the Program Manager to ensure smooth program operations.
Participant Engagement:
- Serve as the primary contact for participants, offering support, facilitating check-ins, and tracking progress to ensure a positive experience.
Virtual Courses Coordination:
- Monitor participant progress, and address logistical or technical challenges.
Internship and Mentorship Coordination:
- Collaborate with host venues and mentors for onboarding, placement management, and feedback collection.
Administrative and Project Management:
- Maintain accurate documentation, track program milestones, and provide updates to the Program Manager.
Outreach and Communications:
- Support participant recruitment, promote program achievements, and assist with social media and digital communications.
