Job Description
The Senior Disability Claims Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing of temporary disability benefits claims at NJ TRANSIT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing applications, verifying medical documentation, and communicating with physicians' offices to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to the medical diagnosis or duration of absence.
Accountabilities
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of TDB claims, including verification of medical documentation and communication with physicians' offices.
- Maintains and updates TDB claim reserves, taking into account collective bargaining agreements, medical diagnosis, and case law.
- Authorsizes TDB claim payments in compliance with employee application, state law, collective bargaining agreement, medical diagnosis, and duration of absence.
