Full time and Part time positions available. Our lifeguards maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, on deck, and all surrounding areas. The lifeguards create a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
In addition to the YMCA Delta Aquatic Center, YMCA Lifeguards also have the opportunity to lifeguard at Splash Island Waterpark in Hannahville and Van Cleve Park's waterfront in Gladstone.
Applicants must....
-Be at least 15 years of age
-Be American Red Cross certified in First aid/CPR/AED/BVM for the Professional Rescuer (or willing to become certified).
-Be an American Red Cross certified Lifeguard (or willing to become certified).
-Ability to maintain lifeguard certification
-Must be able to preform all lifeguard skills and meet American Red Cross Lifeguarding objectives
Lifeguard/CPR/AED/BVM/First Aid training and certification courses available!
Course fees waived or reimbursed for individuals committed to working for the Y.
