We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Schedule appointments and follow up with patients regarding their visits.
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism, providing information and addressing inquiries effectively.
- Process insurance claims, including Medicare, and assist with medical billing as needed.
- Utilize eClinicalWorks software for managing patient information and records.
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Assist with dental terminology and provide support as a dental receptionist when required.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of health information management principles.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Understanding of Medicare processes and medical billing practices.
- Proficient in medical terminology, particularly related to dental care.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient typing skills for accurate data entry.
