Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to improving the lives of individuals and families in need. This role involves providing support, guidance, and advocacy for clients facing various challenges, including mental health issues, addiction, and developmental disabilities. The Social Worker will work collaboratively with other professionals to develop effective treatment plans and facilitate access to necessary resources.
Duties
- Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling using techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and addiction counseling.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and families to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Engage in clinical research to stay informed about best practices in social work and behavioral health.
- Advocate for clients' rights and access to services, particularly for individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges.
- Facilitate support groups for children and adults facing various life challenges.
- Conduct research to identify trends in social work practices that can enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Social Worker is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health issues is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with clinical research methodologies is a plus.
- Strong skills in research, assessment, and intervention strategies related to social work practice.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Experience working with children is preferred but not mandatory.
