Forklift Operator Job Description
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for fulfilling all customer orders by operating a forklift and ensuring efficient and safe transportation of company products throughout the warehouse. Will ensure all products are pulled accurately and with the best quality. This is a fast-paced job that requires the ability to multitask while staying focused.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage inventory and fulfill customer orders using RF scanning equipment.
- Occasionally unload unpalletized containers.
- Optimize loads for operational efficiency.
- Operate forklift and ensure efficient and safe transportation of products.
- Inspect equipment for safety and maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean working area.
Qualification Requirements
- Stand up forklift experience.
- Able to use RF scanners.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills.
- Effective organizational, stress and time management skills.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
- Able to work independently or as a team member.
Physical Demands and Abilities
- Occasionally lift 40-50 pounds.
- Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving your whole body such as lifting, walking, stopping, pushing, pulling, and handling various materials.
