NNI Construction is a privately held company with offices is Cleveland, Ft. Lauderdale, and Las Vegas. We aren’t in the bidding process for 90% of our projects, but rather we work with repeat clients. We work for multiple franchises and have performed over 250 jobs for just one of our clients.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As an Estimator with NNI you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. Your expertise in construction estimation will contribute to developing budgets as well as reviewing and coordinating all bid documents and drawings. You will also have some responsibility for travelling to do in-person site visits with timely completion, quality, and safety on each project, while fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This Estimating position will require, but not be limited to:
- Kick-off reviews
- Plan Swifts (take-offs) of all trades
- Collaboration with the bid soliciting dept.
- Reviewing all sub bids
- Qualifying all sub bids
- Responsible for the proper selection of qualified low bidders
- Developing a proper bid scope (proposal)
- Working with the bid soliciting dept. to assemble the final quote
- Working with the bid soliciting dept. create a scope of work (proposal)
- Reviewing the bid and scope for proper language, spelling, punctuation,
and proper formatting
- Reviewing the bid for proper $ entries
- Reviewing the bid and proposal with the Senior Estimator and/or Directors of PreConstruction.
- Learning our software for estimating (Sage) to Procore
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Estimator Assistants
- Subcontractors
- Project Managers
- Other key stakeholders
SUPERVISION OF PERSONNEL
- Managing a team of 1-2 Estimator Assistants
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED
- The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience estimating all 16 trades for a General Contractor in the construction commercial/retail sector of the business.
- The Senior Estimator will review bids, develop budgets as well as reviewing and coordinating all bid documents and drawings.
- Strong proficiency in construction estimating
- Solid understanding of construction processes and cost control
- Experience in negotiating contracts and pricing
- Familiarity with Bluebeam and Heavy Bid software
- Ability to manage construction projects effectively
- Knowledge of construction site operations and management
