Position Overview : The Construction Estimator will play a key role in the pre-construction phase of projects by accurately estimating costs, managing budgets, and providing detailed reports to support project bids and proposals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial construction estimating, excellent attention to detail, and a deep understanding of construction processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to identify project scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and reports for clients and internal teams.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and ensure competitive bids.
- Analyze historical data, current market trends, and cost trends to provide up-to-date and accurate estimates.
- Assist in value engineering to propose cost-saving alternatives while maintaining project quality.
- Ensure estimates are submitted on time and within the client’s budgetary constraints.
- Support project management teams during the construction phase by providing cost control updates and analysis.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project meetings as necessary to gather information and assess project requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
