JOB SUMMARY:
Restoration Estimators work with homeowners, adjusters, and Project Managers after traumatic events such as a fire or flood to clean up and repair damage to residential and commercial property. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for the cost estimation aspects of the mitigation\renovation which have been scoped projects for our production teams to complete. You will build relationships with insurance professionals and communicate with property owners the expectations to return the structure back to its original form.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Professionally represent the Paul Davis principles of honesty and integrity.
- Meet all service standards set forth by the client or the company.
- Estimate each loss using a 3rd party estimating software, Xactimate or Symbility (as required). Train on these estimating tools as needed.
- Accurately pull together estimate requirements based on inputs from excel spreadsheets, photos, Matterport virtual tours, emails and\or conversations.
- Utilize Paul Davis QA for peer review
- Ensure each project achieves a minimum gross profit margin as determined by company standards.
- Complete estimates within 24 hours of assignment
- Communicate and document any change orders and insurance supplements
- Work closely with the insured and all interested parties to obtain agreement and close each opportunity.
- Build and maintain business relationships with insurance adjusters, brokers, and\or property management teams.
- Responsible for being the first contact for homeowners when participating in the on-call rotation.
- All other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of our main operating systems; RMS, Xactimate and Symbility
- Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to face
- Ability to work with various computer programs and utilize the computer for 8 hours per day.
- Sound planning and organizational skills.
- Career emphasis on learning and continuing education.
- IICRC Training and Designations a plus (Fire, Water, Odor, Upholstery Restoration).
- Valid driver’s license and background check with a clean record.
- 1 – 3 years in a professional setting.
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to work on call and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
