What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aerospace Customer Care Specialist position at NNR Global Logistics USA Inc.?
Summary
Responsible for working closely with the Global Sales team in supporting, maintaining and growing of the aerospace vertical for NNR USA Offices. This will include day-to-day operational, and management related tasks between the Operations teams, Overseas, Accounting, and specified Global Accounts. He/she will provide necessary support to the Global Account Aerospace Development team as an enabler for the maintenance and management of identified Aerospace Accounts of NNR USA.
Duties & Functions
Essential:
- Support with overall retention and growth of the Aerospace Vertical.
- Assist with Aerospace RFQ’s, spot quotes and follow up with customers.
- Support with 365/7 AOG shipments including quoting, scheduling and coordination of shipments.
- Coordination with NOEC team for AOG tracking, service and reporting.
- Coordinate and establish relationships with vendors, suppliers, truckers and airlines specific to Aerospace to build out infrastructure to support growth for the Aerospace Vertical.
- Close coordination and collaboration with NNR USA branches including NNR overseas Aerospace team.
- Create standardized tariffs for major Aerospace lanes and keep them updated for quick response to quotations.
- Maintain close working relationship with overseas staff, including inquires of pricing and support required for existing/new Aerospace clients.
- Provide “root cause” analysis for service-related issues such as missed on time departures, loss, damage theft, airline failures etc.
- Provide training, if necessary, ensuring that all operations staff have the information required to assist with Aerospace business.
- Work closely with Aerospace Vertical Team to maintain and expand the Aerospace business.
- Responsible for overview of shipment handling procedures, compliance, charging and invoicing issues.
- Attend meetings/training as required by management.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of college.
- 5 plus years of Freight Forwarding industry experience.
- Thorough knowledge of the global freight forwarding industry, air, ocean, and surface.
- Prefer practical hands-on experience with handling Aerospace business including but not limited to AOG, MRO, parts and components.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experienced in analytics, process driven, detail oriented and able to work independently.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office application software.
Physical requirements:
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Light/Medium work - Exerting up to twenty-five pounds of force occasionally, frequently and/or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Overnight travel may be required, including foreign travel.
- Employee must have a valid driver’s license.
