Job Summary
Responsible for generating new business between NNR USA offices and the NNR Worldwide Organization of offices, partners and agents.
Duties & Functions
Essential:
Generate new business, while expanding business with specified targeted existing customers between NNR USA offices and the NNR
Worldwide Organization of offices, partners and agents.
- Align and collaborate with ocean procurement team with emphasis on expanding new ocean business specific to targeted lanes and YOY growth initiatives.
- Work with head of sales to cooperate with local AEs and Global Account Management group to jointly target and secure global accounts.
- Responsible to develop C-Suite level relationships with targeted multinational prospects.
- Work with overseas offices to develop sales and pricing strategies necessary to win new business.
- In cooperation with the NNR USA Sales Leaders share specifically targeted major global accounts to focus on for the year.
- Spend time working on 20 /- specific & targeted clients at any one time.
- Drive strategy on targeted clients and share with key overseas colleagues for support.
- Align and collaborate closely with overseas partners in targeting, strategizing and securing new ocean opportunities.
- Grow and maintain a profit level of three times your salary on a yearly basis.
- Initiate and participate in scheduled sales T-cons.
- Generate all sales reports in PowerNet sales and CRM.
- Perform other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5 plus years’ experience of the freight forwarding industry, air, ocean, and surface.
- 5 plus years’ experience with high profile, accounts sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
Physical requirements:
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, frequently and/or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Overnight travel may be required, including foreign travel.
- Employee must have a valid driver’s license.
