Job Summary

The Auto Appraiser will play a crucial role in ensuring that all appraisals are conducted efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damage and determine necessary repairs.
- Prepare detailed estimates for repair costs using industry-standard practices.
- Analyze vehicle condition reports and provide recommendations for repairs or restorations.
- Collaborate with auto body shops, mechanics, and service writers to gather necessary information for appraisals.
- Negotiate repair costs with service providers while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate records of appraisals, estimates, and communications with clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to automotive service and repair.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
Experience
- Proven experience in auto body repair, auto restoration, or automotive estimating is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Familiarity with underwriting processes related to vehicle appraisals is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex information quickly.
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage discussions regarding repair costs.
- Previous experience in automotive service writing or related fields is advantageous.
