Job Summary

We’re looking for a hardworking Fireplace Technician to join our team! Your primary responsibility will be to service malfunctioning manufactured gas fireplaces and log sets.  You will also be a vital part of our new construction team as the final setup technician for new construction homes and commercial projects. The ideal person for this job is a reliable team player who thrives on problem solving and satisfying customers in both new and established residential settings.

Responsibilities

• Service existing gas fireplaces and gas logs in existing homes.  This includes cleaning the entirety of the unit, using provided tools and equipment to diagnose the issue and replacing parts / fixing the unit with replacement parts from your service vehicle.
• Perform final setup on fireplace in both residential and commercial settings
• Coordinate daily service route with the service scheduler and department manager
• Assist fireplace installation team on demanding projects
• Use company provided equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Track inventory levels of replacement parts and miscellaneous materials on service van
• Maintain high levels of customer service with contractors and homeowners while on job sites and in trouble shooting scenarios
• Utilize problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a technician role (i.e. electrical HVAC, plumbing) is required
• At least 5 years of maintenance experience
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing (gas) and venting systems
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Comfortable with ladder work and heights
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen
• Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail

Salary : $25 - $30
