Summary:
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in this assigned region is responsible for supporting medical and scientific initiatives on behalf of Nobelpharma America’s drug and device product portfolio. Develops on-going relationships with national/regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and provides educational support on current and forthcoming therapies developed and commercialized by Nobelpharma America. Ensures access to current medical/scientific information on products and areas of therapeutic interest for rare disease key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs) and decision-makers.
.Duties / Responsibilities:
· Builds and develops enduring trusted partnerships, through scientific engagement and exchange with KOL's, patient advocacy groups, and centers of excellence
· Engages proactively with KOL's to align interests, discuss research and medical information, and educate on therapies
· Maintains clinical, scientific and technical expertise in the rare disease space
· Represents the company at educational events, programs, medical meetings and conventions
· Supports the Commercial Operations team by participating in Speaker and Sales Representative Training
· Partners with departments internally to ensure accurate delivery of medical/scientific information
· Works cross-functionally while following all compliance guidelines with regional field leadership partners, including LTC-MSLs, Managed Market and Health Outcome Liaisons, market development managers (MDMs), regional field managers (RSMs) and Account Managers (AMs)
· Provides field with strategic insights
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required education and experience:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience as an MSL in the biopharmaceutical industry.
· Rare Disease or Dermatology experience is preferred.
· MSL-BC certification highly desirable.
· An advanced degree in a scientific field (MD, PharmD, PhD) is required. An equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience may be considered
· Expert scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge, with an emphasis rare disease
· Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, commercial, and clinical issues affecting the pharmaceutical and managed care industries
· Knowledge of customer segments and market dynamics
· Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal teams
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation and facilitation formats
· Proven expertise in drug information communication
· Ability to assert ideas and persuade others through effectively consolidating, evaluating, and presenting clinical data and related information
· Demonstrated skill at promoting team cooperation and a dedication to team success
· Adept at seeing change as an opportunity to improve business performance
Travel:
· Position requires ability to travel up to 50% to 75%, including some weekends.
