Job Description

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and systems meet regulatory requirements and Noble's standards.
• Monitor and perform repairs on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and equipment to ensure proper performance, safety, and economy.
• Oversee modifications to mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and equipment as directed by the 2nd Engineer.
• Conduct daily visual inspections of equipment, diagnose actual and potential malfunctions, and maintain updated vessel drawings.
• Initiate analysis and identify the root cause of failures on the vessel's mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and systems.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of logs, preventive maintenance records, and documentation for general maintenance, operation, and repairs.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform machinery overhauls, dismantle machinery and equipment, effect repairs by replacing or fabricating components.
• Operate, maintain, and repair as necessary the engine cooling water system, lube oil system, and fuel system.
• Direct the activities of unlicensed engineering personnel and ensure conformance to Company policies, local, and international regulations relating to the operation of the rig.
• Responsible for the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of auxiliary boilers and appurtenances, propulsion and auxiliary diesel engines, and auxiliary system machinery and equipment.

Health, Safety & Environmental

• Implement and uphold Noble's safety policies and procedures to ensure all operations proceed in a safe manner.
• Correct and notify responsible parties of any unsafe acts and/or conditions which exist.
• Responsible for familiarizing and adhering to Noble's Live Safe Code for the purpose of promoting a zero-incident and no-harm workplace.
