Position Summary
The Front of House (FOH) Manager is responsible for overseeing all FOH operations, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience while maintaining high service standards. This position focuses on leading and developing the FOH team, optimizing service flow, and collaborating with the kitchen to create a unified team environment. The FOH Manager also plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations while promoting the culture and values of Noble Food & Pursuits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following and may change or be adjusted at any time:
· Oversee daily FOH operations, ensuring smooth service and efficient table turnover.
· Train, mentor, and develop FOH staff to uphold the highest service standards.
· Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure a consistent guest experience.
· Manage daily scheduling to ensure optimal staffing levels during shifts.
· Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication regarding guest orders, special requests, and service timing.
· Address guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and poise, resolving issues promptly.
· Conduct pre-shift meetings to review menu updates, daily specials, and service objectives with the FOH team.
· Monitor compliance with all health and safety regulations, including alcohol service and allergy protocols.
· Handle opening and closing procedures, including cash management and daily reporting.
· Ensure cleanliness and organization of all FOH areas, including service stations, host stands, and dining areas.
· Collaborate with the General Manager and other leaders on promotional initiatives, events, and seasonal service strategies.
Additional Skills and Responsibilities
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in FOH management within a high-volume restaurant environment.
· Comprehensive knowledge of food, beverage, and service industry trends.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
· Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
· Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
· Proficiency with POS systems and scheduling software.
· Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
· Flexibility with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks
· May be required to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects up to 50 lbs
· Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time
· Occasionally crouch and climb.
· Working in an environment that may be exposed to hazardous equipment and situations and conditions that produce cuts or minor burns
· Exposed to hot and cold temperatures, such as when working near ovens or retrieving food from freezers
