Duties:
Using business driven requirements, plans and designs enterprise systems for our workstation infrastructure including the evaluation and implementation of hardware and software products; engineers and tests technology solutions for our workstation environment. Monitors the day-to-day performance of the infrastructure and works with project teams on the integration of new systems. Creates strategies and develops resolutions for complex problems, incidents and outage situations. Provides third-level support for the workstation-supporting infrastructure.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Manages the evaluation, recommendations and implementation of new products and technologies, which serve the RJFS Independent advisor end user community.
- Researches and implements innovative technologies to and approaches for Enterprise infrastructure workstation management, upgrades, or improvements, while adhering to technical or budgetary constraints.
- Analyzes systems and creates and maintains reporting for key metrics to ensure environment and compliance health.
- Proactively plans capacity of platforms and applications.
- Obtains and evaluates information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine software and hardware configuration.
- Supports and manages custom application deployment solution and re-occurring update process.
- Identifies onboarding and offboarding gaps and creates solutions to address.
- Supports Enterprise Browser policy
Experience and Skills:
- Knowledge of the following strongly preferred:
- Powershell automation
- Tanium Core and Provision Experience a plus.
- Reporting and metric presentation
- Microsoft - Intune and Autopilot
- Enterprise Browser Experience – Island.io
- Expert in Windows Workstation Operating Systems.
- Group Policy deployments to workstation environment.
- Application packaging and deployment
- Security best practices for Windows-based systems CIS benchmarks
- Basic IP network design practices and principles.
- Microsoft Active Directory.
- System monitoring and event analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Virtualization concepts and technologies.
- Other assigned area knowledge and systems.
- In addition, knowledge of the following specialized areas at an advanced level (Platform):
- Expert level: Windows Workstation Operating systems.
- Expert level: PowerShell scripting and automation.
