We are seeking a motivated and service-oriented IT Coordinator. This role is crucial in ensuring optimal functionality of the hotels technological systems, including network infrastructure, property management systems (PMS), reservation systems, tools, Wi-Fi devices, and general hardware. The IT Coordinator will report directly to the Hotel General Manager and collaborate closely with the front desk, maintenance, and administrative teams.
Essential Functions
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide frontline support to resolve technical issues for both staff and guests, including Wi-Fi, internet access, telephony, and printing systems.
- System Maintenance & Updates: Monitor and maintain servers, Check List of the areas, network devices, and other hotel technology equipment to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
- Information Security Management: Implement and maintain data security policies, ensuring compliance with PCI DSS standards and other hospitality-related protocols.
- Technology Project Management: Assist in implementing new systems and upgrades, working with external vendors and the corporate IT team.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with technology service vendors, ensuring timely delivery of products and services within agreed budgets.
- Inventory Administration: Keep an updated inventory of hardware and software, coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.
- Guest Support: Ensure a positive guest experience by providing quick and effective technical assistance for issues related to Wi-Fi, printing devices, and more.
- Remote Support: Remote assistance the staff members on critical incidents or issues
- Users: Onboarding / Offboarding of the users from the different platforms
Other Duties
- Use Service Desk system to track the incidents or request
- Attend and participate in all hotel and/or departmental meetings, training sessions and other information meetings.
- Regular attendance in conformance with hotels standards is essential to the successful performance of this position.
- Comply with hotel grooming standards for both uniformed and non-uniformed associates.
- Comply with hotel service and behavioral standards towards our guests, vendors and fellow colleagues, including, but not limited to ensuring proper phone etiquette, courteous and respectful behavior and maintaining a friendly and positive attitude.
- Monitoring of the critical services like Internet Services, PBX, PMS, etc
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Physical Effort:
While the role is primarily sedentary, youll need to move around the hotel regularly to provide technical support in various areas. This includes maintaining IT equipment, servers, and other electronic devices.
Physical Environment:
Youll work in various environments throughout the hotel, such as server rooms, offices, and locations with technological equipment, which may involve frequent movement.
Manual Skills
This position requires manual skills for installing, configuring, and repairing technological equipment. Youll need motor coordination and finger dexterity to handle delicate equipment, cables, network devices, and for setting up hardware and software.

Responsible for operating within hotel safety guidelines, including the safe and responsible operation of hotel equipment. Reports and addresses safety concerns as they arise. Ensures safe handling of chemicals in accordance with hotel and department standards and utilizes proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a similar role in technical support or systems administration, preferably in the hospitality or hotel industry
Computer Skill & Other Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems Windows and hardware management. Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) such as Opera, PBX Mitel, Aruba Network, ASSA Abloy, etc.
Communication:
Advanced ability to comprehend and speak English to understand and respond to information and address advanced guest requests required both verbally and in writing. Spanish fluency is required for this position.
