As the Multifamily Drywall Operations Manager, you will oversee and manage the individual jobs and field supervisors within the multifamily department and make sure they come in on time and at or under budget. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Effectively communicate with general contractors and field staff to maintain project goals and standards, as well as to address issues that may arise in a timely manner
- Meet with customers, sales and staff personnel to maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion
- Review all plans and be able to recognize potential RFI’s that may be needed
- Oversee the delivery of projects to customers from start to finish
- Meet revenue and profit objectives based on budgets
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation
- Achieve and improve operational efficiencies
- Administer safety programs, monitor compliance with job site safety, safety training, safety documents, auditing, and reporting
- Assign personnel, ordering of equipment and material, and assure that proper customer signoffs are secured per company policy requirements
- Build and develop a pipeline of subcontractors to fulfill labor needs
- Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials needed
- Responsible for field staff development and training, goal setting, performance reviews, etc.
- Provide consistent interface with customer base and establish effective working relationships
- Work with Sales Representatives, Field Staff and Internal Managers in order to resolve customer issues, including customer visits if necessary.
- Provide weekly job status, revenue, profit and warranty reports to Division President.
- Monitor warehouse inventory and tool inventory. Approve tool purchases
- Ensure compliance with company standards
- Assist with additional office and jobsite duties as needed
Qualification Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 3 years previous Drywall residential/multifamily service experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Drywall applications and operations
- Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrate experience leading a team and achieving results
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints
- Strong time management skills and a self-starter mentality
- Strong organization and customer service skills
- Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain effective relationships and communicate with a diverse group of senior leadership, managers, customers and staff either in person, via telephone or via email
- Critical thinking processes and problem-solving expertise
- Results oriented and customer focused
- Ability to change and adapt to current and future responsibilities and circumstances
- Computer skills with a proficiency in programs such as, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel & Outlook
