Key Responsibilities:
Transition Planning:
- Develop comprehensive transition plans that include timelines, milestones, resource requirements, and risk management strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align transition objectives with organizational and program goals
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams throughout the transition process
- Facilitate regular communication and reporting to ensure transparency and alignment with program requirements
- Oversee the execution of transition activities, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations
- Coordinate with teams to ensure the seamless migration of data, systems, personnel, and processes
- Ensure all transition activities meet government program compliance standards, regulations, and contractual obligations
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify and mitigate risks
- Identify potential risks and challenges related to transitions and develop contingency plans
- Monitor and address issues proactively to minimize impact on timelines and deliverables
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure transition success
- Develop lessons learned and recommend improvements for future transition initiatives
Clearance:
- Must have a minimum of a Secret Clearance
- US Citizenship is required for this position
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Public Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.\
- 5 -8 years of experience in transition management or project management, with a focus on government programs
- Demonstrated expertise in managing transitions within large and complex organizations, including public sector projects
- Strong understanding of government regulations, compliance requirements, and procurement processes
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for building strong stakeholder relationships
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, or similar)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges effectively
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
- Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications
