Description:
Noisy Creek Inc., the parent company of The Stranger, Portland Mercury, EverOut , Bold Type Tickets, and Get Me Outta Here digital studio, is seeking an EverOut Manager.
Since 2019 EverOut has been the premier event discovery platform in Portland and Seattle. With staff in both cities, EverOut provides a comprehensive and engaging listing of the culture, food, art, and music that make the Pacific Northwest so vibrant.
The EverOut Manager will manage the content and data teams’ day-to-day work, help shape the platform’s content strategy, and implement EO’s long-term growth strategy. This position will be responsible for supporting the content and data team, as well as working with the Head of Product to identify and implement opportunities for growth.
The person in this position should be comfortable moving between daily content and website management tasks and big picture strategic work. They should have a desire to be creative, adaptive, and responsive to our audience. Experience developing and fostering online communities is a plus!
Responsibilities:
Manage the EverOut team
- Manage EverOut staff in Seattle and Portland
- Support staff growth, navigate bumps in the road, and lead the EO team within the broader Noisy Creek ecosystem
Help to shape and implement EverOut’s content strategy
- Work with Managing Editor to implement content strategy and calendar
- Responsible for overall content for EverOut
- Promote and maintain EverOut’s upbeat, positive voice
- Implement EO’s growth strategy
- Work with broader company leadership, staff, and colleagues to develop and implement EverOut’s long term strategy
- Work with data and product staff across Noisy Creek to track analytics, communicate successes and challenges, and make data-informed decisions
- Engage with and monitor members’ usage of EverOut’s emerging personalization features to identify opportunities for improvement

This is a full-time, exempt, management position. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, and we work on a hybrid remote/in-person model. Applicants should live in the Seattle or Portland metro areas, or have the ability to relocate for the job.
