The team you'll be part of
Nokia Bell Labs is the world-renowned research arm of Nokia, having invented many of the foundational technologies that underpin information and communications networks and all digital devices and systems. This research has produced nine Nobel Prizes, five Turing Awards and numerous other awards.
You will join the Modeling & Optimization group within the Bell Labs AI Research Lab. We apply mathematical and learning-based technologies to a variety of problems in networking and industrial optimization. We improve the performance of communication networks, and we use these improvements to model and monitor complex industrial environments.

As part of our team, you will:
- Develop technologies to sense and understand industrial environments.
- Build 3D models of large facilities.
- Train agents to navigate in complex spaces.
- Analyze high-bandwidth streams of images and videos.
- Perform fundamental research in industrial optimization.
Your skills and experience
You have:
- A degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or related fields (PhD level preferred, but not required)
- Knowledge of modern techniques in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and visual computing
- Proficiency in C and Python
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience with 3D modeling and rendering
- Knowledge of algorithms for autonomous navigation
- Proven record of high-quality publications
