The Immersive Audio Standardization (IAS) team consists of international experienced members contributing to international standards in immersive audio coding and rendering, such as 3GPP IVAS and MPEG-I. The team focuses on creating new spatial speech and audio technologies and contributing them to global applications. We currently have an exciting opening for an audio machine learning researcher in developing the future of immersive audio standards.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Work together with a team of world-class audio technology and standardization experts making future immersive audio solutions possible.
- Contribute towards team and company goals and help solve problems faced by the industry by creating new ideas, developing them into concrete solutions, embedding them in the underlying systems, and protecting the inventions via patenting.
- Participate in developing the future spatial audio coding solutions utilizing machine learning technologies, and contribute the solutions to standardization bodies, such as 3GPP and MPEG, for global adoption.
You have:
- Expertise in machine learning development and used environments (e.g., PyTorch).
- Expertise in speech, audio, spatial audio, or signal processing algorithm development.
- Good programming skills: Python and C/C .
- Knowledge and understanding of speech and/or audio codecs.
- Knowledge of psychoacoustics or communication acoustics.
- Proven track record in scientific publication and/or patenting.
- Good collaboration and communication skills (English mandatory) along with the capability of solving challenging problems independently.
- M.Sc., D.Sc., Ph.D., or a comparable level in a relevant field.
