SALARY RANGE : $131,300 - 163,800 per year
WORK SCHEDULE : 40 hours per week, M-F (9 : 00 a.m.-5 : 00 p.m.)
Responsibilities
Nokia of America Corporation, Software Development Engineer (Multiple Positions), Murray Hill, NJ . Lead integration of new hardware and software components in both the simulation and target environments to ensure conformance to design intent and requirements. Develop and execute software tests to identify issues, assist in debugging issues found, and confirm fixes when available. Implement new feature requirements using C / C in Unix / Linux embedded SW system and configure HW in the lab to support the required tests. Support simulation users to debug issues seen in their environment. Update the product simulation environment to support new hardware and software features. Contribute to the firmware architecture for innovative optical modules based on multi-core SoC and DSPs. Bring-up and test firmware on optical interface modules in DWDM transmission systems. Accountable for quality and accuracy of own output. Responsible for contribution to teamwork. Carries out tasks / activities according to assignment and set guidelines. Demonstrates initiative and adaptability to changing business environments. #LI-DNI
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS : Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience with the following : Developing embedded C / C SW in a Unix / Linux environment; Developing HW interfaces using I2C, and UART; Planning and executing integration tests; Git and Jira in an Agile development environment; Testing SW on target and simulation environments; and Developing and integrating driver and interface software for ASIC, FPGA or DSP devices.
Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Murray Hill, NJ may be permitted up to 60%.
