Position: Material Handler

Schedule: Full-Time
Reports To: Inventory Control Lead

The Material Handler works within Nomad’s campus, moving, handling, and storing various materials for projects. The Material Handler regularly loads and unloads inventory, supplies, and other materials as necessary from various locations onsite.
Essential Functions / Responsibility:
- Serve as a point of contact within the Supply Chain Department and with other Nomad divisions and departments in order to fulfill material counts and inventory-related duties.
- Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
- Label every product and place them accordingly.
- Identify and locate the right products during the delivery process.
- Handle returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication.
- Ensure all material handling equipment is safe to use by conducting required safety checks.
- Convey purchasing requirements of products in short supply and use visual inventories.
- Collaborate with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries, and replace damaged products.
- Return product to stock from jobs in a timely manner.
- Receive various parts and products ordered by Nomad.
- Find part numbers on items that come back from the Production floor.
- Complete cycle counting.
- Deliver received parts to various departments on the campus.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage.
- Research and communicate the status of orders to stakeholders and maintain verbal and written communication regarding orders via email, telephone, and in person.
- Update electronic records and maintain records retention using electronic and hardcopy filing systems.
- Track shipments and update records.
- Perform data entry, faxing, scanning, telephone conversations, and other duties as requested, clerical, and non-clerical.
- At times, load and offload materials and transfer materials around campus, using forklift.
- Promote and participate in a safe working environment.

- Efficiently complete tasks based on priority.
- Be able to use a multi-line phone system efficiently.
- Be skilled at internet/web searches and researching companies’ credibility, products, prices, etc.
- Be willing to accept training on safely operating forklift and other warehouse machinery.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, reach, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and is occasionally required to sit.
- Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Employee will routinely lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. (If item is 50 pounds or heavier, a two-person assist is required).
Working Environment:
- Outdoor, fast-paced warehouse environment floor layout with open-concept office area
- Regular interacting with Production Team Members.
- Some exposure to strong odors and fumes.
- All Team Members must wear provided OSHA approved eye protection at all times in manufacturing areas. The employee will be required to wear provided safety eyewear throughout the performance of their duties.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- 45-50 WPM typing with 10-Key (adding machine / calculator)
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have good communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Must be willing to listen, learn, and follow instructions.
- Previous experience with material handling desired.
- Previous experience with forklift operation preferred; training offered.
