Job Description:

We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic part time hotel manager for our newly launched ocean front boutique hotel, 11 North, located in the heart of Jacksonville Beach. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about hospitality and has a knack for creating unique experiences and ensuring guests have a memorable stay.

  • This role is part time consisting of a morning shift (~3-4 hours) throughout the week with a strong focus on the weekends. Plus an afternoon shift for 2-3 hours on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays to provide guests checking in with a wine and cheese hour. We are in the process of hiring two managers to help manage the schedule.
  • This job could be flexible as there are not always guests staying with us throughout the week. Depending on the schedule, you could have the option of mapping out your weekly schedule depending on guests staying at the hotel.

Future plans for the hotel is to offer mini events to the community and to guests. If you are a creative type and interested in event planning, this would be a perfect role for you.

Responsibilities:

- Breakfast service:

  • Ensuring breakfast and coffee bar is well stocked and laid out for guests in the mornings. This simply means ensuring the mini fridge is stocked. We do not offer a hot breakfast, the breakfast is simple with self serve items such as granola, yogurt, fresh fruit and a Nespresso machine. Clean up breakfast area and kitchen and ensure it remains tidy for the day.

- Guest Services:

  • Greet guests and assist guests with any inquiries to help make their stay memorable.

- Inventory and Housekeeping:

  • Clean and maintain the common areas to ensure they are inviting and clean. This involves cleaning the half-bath and ensuring it's stocked with toiletries.
  • Tidying kitchen as needed
  • Order inventory as needed by working with our virtual assistants
  • Watering potted plants outside
  • Preparing the common area for afternoon check-ins
  • Washing beach towels as needed

- Website and review management:

  • Respond to guest reviews on Google and various platforms where needed.

- Social Media Marketing (optional):

  • Ability to create and schedule posts on social media platforms to promote and engage with the community.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in hospitality, customer service, or similar is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of website management (social media platforms a plus)
  • Familiarity with Slack a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive attitude

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
