The Challenge (Job Summary)
NOMS Healthcare is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead the financial operations of the organization. The Controller will oversee accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while ensuring the fiscal integrity of the company. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and leadership abilities to support the continued growth and success of NOMS Healthcare.
Your Day to Day & Essential Functions:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement internal financial controls and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning.
- Monitor cash flow and financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other financial reporting requirements.
- Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
- Support financial decision-making by providing detailed financial analysis and business intelligence.
- Collaborate with department heads to drive financial accountability and operational improvements.
What You Need to Succeed (Competencies and Education):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
- Previous experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Environment/Working Conditions: Work performed in office but can have some flexibility working from home. Involves interaction with staff and physicians.
