REPORTING TO: PCR COORDINATOR/ ASSISTANT LAB MANAGER
JOB PURPOSE: The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for assisting the Medical Laboratory Technicians in the area for which they are assigned.

Position Description:
This position requires an individual who can multitask efficiently. The Laboratory Assistant must be able to accession specimens; order requested testing, label and process specimens in an accurate and timely fashion.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, access sample acceptability for testing
- Aliquot samples.
- Adhere to Universal precautions, handling patient samples
- Reject unacceptable samples, document
- Enter patient demographic info into LIS
- Label samples
- Store samples according to policy
- Verifying all lab reports transmit into Practice Portal
- All above, according to policy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
